Join us for the premiere of Chicago short film, Best In the World, and comedy show on December 3, 2025 at Dorothy hosted by Rogue Schmidt!

Written by Marissa Lessman and directed by Melanie Field (A League of Their Own 2022), Best in the World follows Kit (played by Schmidt), whose dreams of becoming a professional wrestler are buried under a mountain of shame and grief- until a video of her goes viral and a top Chicago wrestling coach shows up at her door. In an industry traditionally dominated by cis men, Best in the World is a celebration of plus sized, queer, femme voices.

We’ll kick off the night with stand up sets from Rogue Schmidt and two of Chicago’s fiercest comedians, Hoja Lopez and Hannah Beck, followed by the premiere screening of Best in the World. Make sure to stick around for a talk back with Rogue moderated by Lillie Frances!

Doors at 6pm and our event begins at 7pm. Dorothy remains open after the show until 11pm.

Tickets are $12 in advance and $17 at the door.
