Ephemera: A Folk-inspired Open Mic

  • Dorothy 2500 West Chicago Avenue Chicago, IL, 60622 United States (map)

Ephemera is a folk-inspired queer open mic that blends the beauty and history of folk music with the joy of small moments that are only fleeting if you forget them. Performers are invited to share songs, poetry, and stories of their own joyful moments, and then stick around for our featured performances.

Sign ups for open mic performances are encouraged. Limited to a five minute performance time, interested performers are welcome to share one piece of work within the timeframe.

Doors open at 6pm with a one hour happy hour before our open mic begins at 7pm. Featured performances begin at 8pm. Dorothy remains open after the show until 11pm.

Tickets are $12 in advance and $17 at the door.

This is a mask required event. Guests are encouraged to bring their own masks, but additional masks will be provided at the door. For the safety and accessibility of all in our community, we ask audience members to stay masked during our performances, and performers to mask before and after their time on stage.

Dorothy is 21+ and requires physical ID for all to enter. Dorothy is also ADA accessible with elevator access on Campbell Ave. If you are a guest who requires elevator access, please wait by the black door on Campbell Ave with our logo in the window and call our staff to assist: 773-770-3799
