Erotic Storytelling with Smutty Black Gxrl

  • Dorothy 2500 West Chicago Avenue Chicago, IL, 60622 United States (map)

Erotic Storytelling serves as an open mic for audience members to share anecdotes, poetry, short fiction, or whatever other performative medium they wish so long as it relates to sensuality, sexuality, and/or the erotic.

Bringing together kinksters and sexy vanillas of all backgrounds together in a safe space, expect to laugh, possibly cry, but most importantly bond through the sharing of our sexy (and not-so-sexy) stories.

Stories have a time limit of five minutes each and can range from vanilla to kinky! No erotic visuals allowed to hold true to the inclusivity, safety and respectability of each performer and producer.

Stay for intermission and Erotic Storytelling's famous improv games! Interested audience members can sign up during the break.

Doors at 6pm and our storytelling event begins at 7pm. Dorothy remains open after the show until 11pm.

Tickets are a sliding scale! $5-10 tickets are available for the first week, then $10-20 tickets available for the remainder of presales. Remaining tickets are $20 at the door.

Dorothy is 21+ and requires physical ID for all to enter. Dorothy is also ADA accessible with elevator access on Campbell Ave. If you are a guest who requires elevator access, please wait by the black doors on Campbell Ave and call our staff to assist: 773-770-3799

Please note: refund requests are only accepted until 24h before the show (10/4, 7pm). No other refund requests will be honored.

ABOUT THE HOSTS & PERFORMERS

Smutty Black Gxrl: B and Lee Honey are your friendly ethical perverts and work wives. Meeting during the heart of the pandemic in 2020, their friendship, creativeness, and horny nature lead to them partnering on a POC Kinky Coloring Book and co-hosting Erotic Storytelling the last 3 years at a local Chicago kink dungeon, with more collaborations underway. Their intention with Smutty Black Gxrl is to take you on a sexy ride of self & community exploration, deconstruction, discovery, and empowerment through storytelling. You can find them on Instagram @smutty_black_gxrl

Chi (pronounced Shy): Bringing writers' words to life in a way that captures your imagination and excites your senses is what brings the most joy to Shy. It is through the world of erotic storytelling that she gets to explore her sexuality, gaining confidence and empowerment every time she takes the stage. Hearing and seeing the audience react to how she interprets the stories she reads has helped Shy become anything but.

Socks: Hi, I'm Socks (any pronouns). I'm an erotic poet, educator, and spiritualist from the burbs. My work has appeared in places like the Messy Misfits Club zine, Natural Bridge Magazine and the chalkboard in your local sex dungeon. I think poetry is the most fucked up, insane, pointless thing a person can choose to waste their time on and it should be illegal. Thanks for being deranged with me.

Suzie Campbell shows that being a devoted mom doesn’t mean giving up your dirty mind. She’s a single mother living in Ravenswood raising two kids and two cats. Her one-woman-show, Get Fucked, is about her quest to have sex before her hysterectomy at age thirty-five. She’s performed at shows such as Story Collider, Pour One Out, Is this a thing?, and Fillet of Solo. Her stories live in the messy intersections of sexuality, motherhood, and mental health. Suzie believes there’s power in naming what we’re not supposed to say out loud. Follow her at: @suzietellsstories or suzietellsstories.com

Chi (she/her): Chijioke Williams is an audio-creative and storyteller based in Chicago. She is the voice, writer, and sound designer of Between Heartbeats (in production), and can also be heard on StarTripper, Someone Dies In This Elevator, SuperSuits, and more. Most recently, Chijioke was the Associate Producer of Division Street: Revisited (PRX) and a writer/producer on this season of Unboxing Queer History. She also teaches self-defense around the city, equipping her fellow queer community members with the tools to keep themselves safe. Chijioke's hobbies are martial arts, live storytelling, and imagining a better world. She now lives in Edgewater, where she does all three.

Prince Onyx (They/He/Sir/Your Majesty): I’m a Black Trans Genderless Queer Professional Dominant and multidimensional Artist. My S*x work centers Black, Trans, and Queer sexuality and pleasure. Through spanking booths/kink stations, live demos, private sessions, discussions and art, I aim to expand the presence of Black sensuality through kink and fetish.

Ari (she/her) is the photographer/videographer for Erotic Storytelling. She will focus on capturing moments of those on stage, sharing their stories.

Cam (they/them) is the event’s usher. They’ll be assisting with checking in guests and general support as the event goes on.
