ABOUT YOUR HOST & FEATURE

Twinka Masala (they/them) is an award-winning drag king and activist based in Chicago, performing nationwide!

Denara Auriel is an emerging Neo-Soul artist who expresses her vulnerability through her distinct style of melancholy yet triumphant R&B. She prioritizes transparency about her own mental health in her songwriting and story-telling. This transparency is vital to her artistry, as is her recognition of her own innate power and Black girl magic.

Denara uses her music to process and engage with the world as a plus sized, queer, and neurodivergent Black woman. In her live performances, she focuses on connecting with her audience over mutual experiences ranging from heartbreak to coping with mental illness to joy and celebration. Through her artistic expression, Denara aims to be seen and to make others feel seen.
