Have you ever loved a song so much you wished you could have seen it live before everyone knew about it? Join us at Dorothy on Wednesday, July 22nd at 7pm for our Sapphic Songwriter Showcase, where you'll get to hear local WLW songwriters perform in an intimate setting and share a more personal view with stories that inspired their music. You might just discover your next favorite queer artist and then you can say, "Hey, I heard them first at Dorothy!"

ABOUT THE PERFORMERS
goodkitty is the piano-driven indie rock/pop project of Katie Colt, a Chicagoland songwriter, producer, and musician. Combining diaristic lyrics with earworm-level melodies, goodkitty delivers unabashedly catchy songs that turn inner thoughts right side out. Picture Albums, the first goodkitty EP, garnered thousands of plays across college and indie radio, charting on the NACC 200. The goodkitty debut album is planned for early 2027 release.
The Devil Said Jump is an Americana/Folk band from Chicago. Queer theater kids to the front.
Named “Best of Chicago in the Folk/Americana Category” by Deli Magazine, Jessie Winslow uses her songwriting to heal and connect. Her minimalist sonic landscapes invite deep, full-body listening. Winslow has performed at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, Lincoln Hall + Schubas, and The Hyde Park Art Center. With support from a grant from the City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs & Special Events, she released her debut album, “Radio & Tea,” in 2023.
A Chicago based singer-songwriter armed with unwaveringly intimate lyrics & acoustically driven melodies, damsel. is a breath of fresh air on the indie folk scene. Taking inspiration from the likes of Phoebe Bridgers, Laura Marling, and Big Thief, damsel. sings with unflinching honesty about her life and the world that she sees. Her debut album "soft animal" is out now.
