Silent Book Club ft. Chicago Public Library

SILENT BOOK CLUB is a global movement of enthusiastic readers with a drive to come together in a bookish way without the social pressures of a book club. Once a month we gather at Dorothy and read together without any assignment or requirements!

We also invite a bookish pop up to join us for the evening and on August 9th we will be joined by SBC regulars Chicago Public Library!

Chicago Public Library is more than just a place to borrow books for free. They are community centers, resource hubs, event locations, cooling centers and generally a safe and educational space for Chicagoans to enjoy. Get a library card, change your name (yes, even to your chosen name!) in the CPL system, talk to our guest librarian and yes, borrow books while they're here.

RSVPs are free and serve as calendar reminders for our guests. Entry is always free for Silent Book Club.

Dorothy is 21+ and requires physical or mobile ID for all to enter. Dorothy is also ADA accessible with elevator access on Campbell Ave. If you are a guest who requires elevator access, please wait by the black door with our logo in the window and call our staff to assist: 773-770-3799
