FRUIT COCKTAIL is a bi-monthly intentional queer tea dance & mixer event!

Developed by the producers behind FRUIT SALAD, Dorothy’s queer open mic night, Fruit Cocktail brings folks together from 4-7pm on a Saturday every other month as a nod to the traditional tea dances in queer culture - and as an intentional mixer to expand community, create friendships and open the door to relationships.

  • Bi-monthly on a Saturday! Doors at 4pm, Tea Time at 5pm and our DJ plays until 7!

  • Tea Time is a 30 minute pause in the middle of our party where our host Rainn will introduce an active discussion topic as an intentional way to connect with others during your time.

  • We are always open to DJs and photographers who are interested in featuring for this event. Email hello@dorothydownstairs.com with interest. If you’re interested in working as an Event Greeter, fill out this form HERE.

  • You will be alerted via an email from Eventbrite if someone cancels a ticket and you become eligible to purchase that ticket. If the event is sold out, there is no waitlist or tickets sold at the door.

  • If the event is sold out, there is no waitlist and no tickets sold at the door. If the event is not sold out, we will sell tickets until the bar reaches capacity.

  • Bummer! We will miss you! Because we often have a waitlist we do ask that you request a refund through Eventbrite. Refund requests are only honored until midnight the night before the event.
