SILENT BOOK CLUB is a global movement of enthusiastic readers with a drive to come together in a bookish way without the social pressures of a book club. Once a month we gather at Dorothy and read together without any assignment or requirements!

We also invite a bookish pop up to join us for the evening and on July 12th we will be joined by Block Club Chicago's queer production arm: Proud City!

Block Club Chicago is a nonprofit news organization dedicated to delivering reliable, nonpartisan and essential coverage of Chicago’s diverse neighborhoods. Proud City highlights LGBTQIA+ specific resources and new stories throughout the city highlighted on the Block Club Chicago website as well as their Proud City specific newsletter.

RSVPs are free and serve as calendar reminders for our guests. Entry is always free for Silent Book Club.
